VRML Sample Files from CS

The files listed below are to be viewed inside VRML. In order to view the files you must first go to the following site: http://www.parallelgraphics.com/products/cortona/ and click on "Install Cortona VRML Client"... It should take 1-10 minutes depending on your connection speed.

After you have downloaded the client, simply double click on the file names below to view them.

All the worlds here are nonsense VRML constructed to give you a better idea of the environment we are using to build the computer generated portion of the performance.

The names of some of the files refer to the capabilities needed to view them smoothly: High, Medium, Low, or Test. We recommend starting with test and working your way up.

Stereo is an example to show that vrml is capable of multichannel broadcast. As you turn to the right, sound will shift to the left speaker, and vice versa. Nonuniform and Flat Text Maps show the capabilites in mapping flat objects. When viewing Animations, spin to the left or right to view object transformations.

A Tutorial of VRML programming can be found at: http://web3d.vapourtech.com/ click on the VRML9 Logo.
